Former
Fischer rumours revealed as flops

In
an interview on 28th January 2002 with the Icelandic television Fischer
denies he played GM Nigel Short or anyone else on the internet. This
way Fischer helped to reveal former rumours stating he played on the
internet as untrue. In fact, it was a Canadian network expert posing
as the former world champion. He played many games with his multi
processor engines on Internet Chess Club (ICC) against titled players.
